Welcome to the Weekend

Start planning your weekend in Youngstown with plenty of upcoming summer festivals. Enjoy an outdoor concert at the brand new Youngstown Foundation Amphitheatre, travel the Wines of the Valley Wine Trail or tee off on one of many beautiful golf courses.

The 21st Annual Summer Festival of the Arts will be held July 13 & 14 in the heart of the Youngstown State University campus. Summer Festival of the Arts showcases the original, handcrafted work of more than 80 local, regional and national artists. Sculptures, glasswork, paintings, jewelry, photography and textiles that have been hand-selected are featured at this two-day event. Guests can shop at the artists’ marketplace, and enjoy live music, theater and dance performances. Hours are Saturday, July 13, 10:00am-6:00pm & Sunday, July 14, 11:00am-5:00pm. Admission is free.

The Summer Festival of the Arts is the flagship event for the Summer Festival of the Arts Weekend, which includes the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Summerfest July 11-14, and the Youngstown Wine and Jazz Festival featuring Norman Brown July 13 at 7:00pm. This celebrated downtown summer tradition has a new home inside The Youngstown Foundation Amphitheatre.

The region’s newest outdoor entertainment venue includes a state-of-the-art stage, high-quality sound system, lighting and multiple concession areas– all situated inside the new Riverfront Park. Upcoming concerts include Earth, Wind & Fire on July 5, Michael Stanley and The Resonators with Donnie Iris and The Cruisers on July 27, Brett Eldredge on August 2, and Steely Dan on August 27.
