About Adventures in Northeast Ohio

Adventures in Northeast Ohio is one of the strongest regional marketing associations in Ohio. Our organization, formerly known as the Western Reserve Tourist Council, is an IRS-designated 501 (c) 6 not-for-profit corporation dedicated to promoting travel and tourism in Northeast Ohio.

Adventures in Northeast Ohio brings attractions, bed and breakfasts, campgrounds, convention and visitors bureaus, festivals and events, hotels, restaurants, tour promoters, tourist councils and other partners in the travel industry together to promote the region once known as the Connecticut Western Reserve to visitors and locals alike.

Our mission is …to encourage the development and diversification of the tourism and travel industries of Northeastern Ohio through promotional, educational, informational, and legislative programs.

In 2026, the Board decided that 2026 would be the last year for the organization.
