Celebrate ‘12 Days of Christmas’ at twelve beautiful inns of Amish Country during the 7th Annual Christmas Cookie Tour of Inns event. The tour, hosted by the Amish Country Lodging Council, will take place on Saturday and Sunday, December 13 and 14, 2014, 12:30-6 p.m. each day. Tickets go on sale November 1, 2014.
Inns of Amish Country, dressed up and decked out for the holidays, will present this classic Christmas carol, featuring the whimsical ‘12 Days of Christmas’ quilt by master quilter, Loretta Coblentz. During the month of December, the exterior of each inn will be adorned with a breathtaking quilt-block square and visitors are welcome to tour the inns all month long to see these giant quilt-block installations. During the cookie tour, Mrs. Coblentz will display her one-of-a-kind masterpiece and share with visitors her quilting techniques using felted wool applique and embroidery embellishments.
At each stop on the two-day self-guided tour satisfy your sweet tooth with delicious indulgences including Diamond Ring Cut-Out Cookies, Old World Swiss Cookies, Gooey Red Velvet Butter Cookies, Russian Teacakes, Mocha Truffle Cookies, and more. The inns will offer inspirational décor and festive music. At select locations, local businesses will present food samples and holiday demonstrations.
