#1- CFAES Wooster Campus
2122 Williams Rd. Wooster, OH 44691
The CFAES Wooster Campus was founded in 1892 as the Ohio Agricultural Experiment Station and now consists of nearly 4,000 acres spread across Canaan, East Union, Franklin, Plain and Wooster townships in Wayne County. The tour highlights Secrest Arboretum, an expansive 110-acre outdoor laboratory and landscape garden. Theme gardens feature over 2,500 varieties of woody and herbaceous plants, highlighting varied ecosystems and best landscape practices.

#2 -Dunlap Family Tree Farm
5881 Hoy Road, Wooster, OH 44691
Our Family Tree Farm began in early spring of 1985 by placing an ad in the Wooster Daily Record searching for 8-10 acres for Christmas tree production.  It was 1991 when we finally saw harvest of our first trees.  We currently harvest about 500-800 trees each year for family traditions and Christmas elebrations. We will not be cutting any trees in October, but we will have tree tags available for you if you wish to tag a tree and then return to get your tree during our Christmas season business hours.

#3 -Savage Run Farms

Gail and Gwen Miller invite you to their farm to enjoy the 10th annual Moreland Heritage Days hosted by the Moreland Community Historical Society.  This year's event will celebrate the rich agricultural heritage of Wayne County. The event will include displays of both modern and antique farm equipment with some of the restored equipment operating.  A special highlight will be a BAKER STEAM ENGINE operating both days. There will be food service both days with a full menu including BBQ chicken and pork on Saturday and a light lunch on Sunday with ice cream available both days.

#4 – Apple Creek Historical Society

The Apple Creek Historical Society was founded in 2001 and broke ground for the construction of its new building in the fall of 2004 with the goal of preserving the history of the East Union Community. Along with all of the exhibits and demonstrations, food (veal burgers, burgers, hot dogs, fries, onion rings, and ice cream) will be available by Roy Yoder on Saturday

#5 – Wayne County Regional Training Facility
2725 Millborne Rd. Apple Creek, OH 44606
Since 1991, we have offered education and training to members of the public safety community in Wayne and surrounding counties. Today, we continue to offer high – quality training and educational opportunities to help to protect and serve our communities. On our nearly 60 acre property, we offer training for police, fire, EMS, and search and rescue groups. We are excited to announce during the tour, we will have Lerch’s Donuts and Lynn Enterprises stands on site offering delicious treats.

#6 – Venture Heritage Farm
13777 Arnold Rd. Dalton, OH 44618
Venture Heritage Farm (VHF) is owned by the Marvin and Mary Steiner family which is now the seven Steiner brothers and their children. VHF has been a certified organic farm since 2005 with OEFFA and consists of 115 acres and 40 rented acres. 14 lowline Angus and mini-Hereford cow/calf pairs, make up the cattle program. Representatives from the Steiner family, Tilmor and KHSI, (Katahdin Hair Sheep International) and NSIP, (National Sheep Improvement Program) will be present to share information and answer questions. Homemade ice cream, fry pies, puffed and popped corn will be available at this stop for a donation.

#7 – Harmony Farms

Harmony Farms is owned by the Neuenschwander family and is currently in its 6th generation of operation. This 400 acre dairy grows about 80% of the cows’ feed needs. The Neuenschwanders milk 300 cows and have 225 heifers. The herd is primarily cross breds – a mix of Jersey and Norwegian Red.
